About our events

Croydon Beekeepers’ Association can offer access to a programme of events, both at local and Surrey level.

Many of our events are for beekeepers however some will also be of interest to non-beekeepers, particularly the summer fairs. We have regular Apiary meetings during the summer and talks during the winter, plus training courses and Study Groups designed to suit various levels of ability for complete beginners to the more experienced beekeepers. Go to our events calendar page to see everything that’s going on.

The Croydon Honey Show

The Croydon Honey Show is held in September each year, it’s family-friendly and entry is free for visitors. It’s a great chance for local beekeepers to show off their skills and their produce – honey, beeswax candles and other hive products like wax wraps, and honey cakes, biscuits and sweets.

There’s always lots for non-beekeepers to see too:

  • an observation hive with live bees
  • bee information displays
  • locally-produced honey and hive products for sale
  • a chance to talk to local beekeepers
  • candle making

Participation in local events

We enjoy supporting local events such as fairs and shows and our stands are always a point of interest!

We can provide the following:

  • an observation hive with live bees
  • experienced beekeepers are on hand to answer questions
  • information about bees and beekeeping
  • subject to availability we can bring our own honey for sale, and also other hive products made from beeswax.
