Asian Hornet Tracking experiences with Julian Newton, Laddingford and District Beekeepers’ Association.

Last year, together with colleagues from London Beekeepers and surrounding counties, Julian made a trip to Jersey, to learn about tracking and tracing Asian Hornets. He will be giving us the benefit of his experiences, and most usefully, his recommendations for actions we as beekeepers can take, to maximise our chances of detecting this pernicious insect in the coming season. Please, do come to this talk if you can. We will need all hands on deck to tackle this challenge, which threatens not only our honey bees, but all of our pollinating insects.
